Clear a filter from a column
I'm trying to remove an advanced filter on my excel worksheet that someone created years ago. There seems to be no options to remove it? Can anyone help? Did this solve your problem? Yes No.

Sorry this didn't help. I'm able to unhide the rows, but I still can't remove the advanced filter. How do you normally do it? There's doesn't seem to be an option to remove it. Is the Filter option visible as in A below or Grayed out like B below? Is it possible that the sheet is password protected and filter option has been blocked?

When I press the 'advanced filter' button, the last used fange was for a range up to Row So it seems to still be on somehow? I don't believe that you can remove the entry in an advanced filter once information has been entered into the text boxes.
It appears that Excel remembers those entries and are present in the text fir until you change them. If it were me, I would copy and paste the data into a new workbook.
I am having what appears to be the same issue. I use Filter a lot and consider myself quite familiar with it.

I believe what I have is a different problem. Someone setup values in a spreadsheet and xecel those same values rows 4 and column to the Advanced Filter setting for another set of cells. Those cells need free form text, not one from a list of 4 values.
